Dear Vista Residents,
I have dedicated my life to my faith, family, and community. I have been married to my wife, Nina, for 40 years, and together, we have built our beautiful family, which consists of Gina, Renato, Christina, Daniel, Frank, and Julie, and our four beautiful grandchildren.
I have been an active member in the community for over 30 years, being involved with the Optimist Club, Vista schools and sports, performance arts programs, and various youth organizations. I have not only been a member of the Optimist Club, I was the president in 2003-04, as well as a current board member for the last 15 years. I have owned and operated Feliccia’s Italian Restaurant and Catering for 31 years, as well as running the food and concession at the Moonlight Theater for 22 years. I am a man with my education coming from the real world, and I plan on bringing real world experience to city hall.
I decided, after many years of heartfelt thought, with the help of my family, that it was time to serve the community and run for city council. I want to help improve the city, and give the children of the community something that they can be proud of. I will fight for the citizens of Vista by making sure they have a voice through open access to myself. I plan to change the face of public service, and be real with the people. We must remind everyone that elected official’s work for them, and not the other way around. I want to make the city more productive by guiding to create ideas for spending less and saving more.
I plan to make public safety one of my top agenda items. Another agenda item that is important to me is government waste. We must welcome more business in the City of Vista. Making it more desirable for business to work and succeed in our city. Business will help make our city more financially solvent, and help us lower the rest of our taxes. I am also a strong supporter of Prop 22, which will help keep our money in our city. My desire is to make all of Vista beautiful. Vista is translated as city with a view, and we should value and take care of our wonderful city.
I hope I can count on your vote.
Sam Feliccia
